Shot in the Eye, Chief, Sioux, Heyn Photo, Omaha 6 x 7, circa 1900.  (from hand-tinted albumen print circa 1880). Shot in the Eye reputedly got his name from a wound he received in the Battle of the Little Bighorn where Custer’s 7th Cavalry was rubbed out.
